I bet you some of the houses of ill repute has need of someone handy with a cane. You just have to dress in black leather and cuss men out and whack them on their buttocks. I've heard its good money. :lol:

I wish you the best of luck in finding a decent job. Look how long it took jada.

We will come by daily to make sure you're taking care of our mutts correctly which we don't want. After all, we have nothing to do but pick up our disability checks and run around to butchers looking to scrap grass fed free range beef. :lol:

PS small rehoming fee of $2000 per mutt.

:thumbs::thumbs:

hey! welcome back! :)

there are 2-3 new ones that pop up every day and i have applied for every single one i feel i am even the slightest bit qualified for. it was a county position that i interviewed for last friday, but they were primarily looking for phone bank staff...and i didn't have multi-phone line experience, so i knew it was a long shot from the start.

oh, funny thing that happened...it was a group interview and this one guy actually had the nerve to ask the hiring manager whether staff were allowed to read or surf the internet during the downtime at the office. the look on the manager's face was priceless. :lol:

your kids are adorable!

i say walk into county hr office and talk with one of the hr staff there. when you can explain your prior work, face to face with a human there, they can instantly translate into job titles and know which departments you should chase after.

then - chase after the departments in a non-standard way. [the departments, not the job] .

think a bit, or force me to explain 'non-standard way'...

won't force, but am asking very nicely if you can explain what that means :P

and, serious question, will they even entertain me if i just walk in and ask about employment opportunities? my guess is that they will just refer me to the county website where job ads are posted. i'll do it, if that's really something that is possible, but i don't want to come off as pushy either and instantly be turned away.

i had that experience at a couple retail stores that had the 'now hiring' signs in their window display. they gave me a link to a website and told me to apply online.
