Men's perception of themselves is interesting. I've never known men to be any good at solving relationship and life problems. Who wants someone else to tell them how to fix anything, unless of course they ask. Might not realize it, but it is rude and condescending to constantly be offering help and solutions when not asked for.

ya, this is a big issue for me, as well - conked over the head with a 10 tonne wall of bricks is usually her reaction. Mostly flummoxed. I need a break, really.

greater than 80% of the time when my wife brings up a problem, it means she wants me to fix it. Should I fail to come up with a timely solution, its into the dog house for me. The other 20% of the time she wants me to keep my mouth shut. She never asks me to fix something, she expects it, unless she don't want it fixed then she's irritated when I offer a solution.

As to the types of problems, they could be anything and sometimes defy any solution. Such as this one, I'm driving and the person behind me, purple rain in the yellow sky, forward same march, next Tuesday. My feet hurt, yesterday, now they're smelly, so what do I do about my coworker without doing anything?

When confronted with such life problems, yes the women can keep them  But then you're married to a Dane who have long ago learned to have selective hearing towards their wives of give the same nonsensical response.

It is actually really insulting to offer help to Danish women when not asked, like some sort of degradation to their worth as human beings.

Maybe it is some sort of Filipina thing with bringing stuff up like that? Once in a blue moon I want my husband's advice on something, like should we do a tub surround or tile.... But conversation always starts like, "I want your opinion on....."

Kind of sounds like your wife just wants to talk like she would with her girlfriends. Maybe I am weird, but I hit a limit on how many words I want to exchange with my significant other a day and trivial stuff would probably make me want to scream. Mind you, we talk about an hour a day, but I like it to be productive conversation.

There's usually a time a day my wife just wants to talk about trivial things. Most women I've known are that way, so I'm guessing you're probably a bit different than the norm. Not that there's anything wrong with that. So you don't bring up and discuss problems you don't want potential solutions to from your husband? That's actually a good thing, makes it very clear when you just want a sympathetic ear, because you don't want one

I totally couldn't put up with that, poor men. Maybe one of the reasons that I'm not a lesbian.

It is soo humid and terrible out today. Eww. Seems to be too hot for mosquitos, which is good news. Also, State Farm way overquoted my car insurance, turns out that it is $6/month more than Geico, so about 96/month for both cars.

Yeah, relationships are awful sometimes. Has it consistently been bad since she got here without any good days/weeks with no problems? I mean, we have our days or little patches, but things always seem to level out mostly after I realize that I'm expecting too much of other people and that I'm being irrational. My husband is a good and patient guy, so if there is a problem, it usually is my fault, tbh.

Whatcha kicking?

Would you get term or whole life insurance? There is a huge cost difference, but you can cash out the whole life...

I am so annoyed and I can't do anything about it and it makes me more annoyed. Last minute people drive me up the wall. It's worse when you're married.

Not every decision can be made on the fly.

The worst? Last minute people telling me how to plan. Lawl.

You suffer in obtuse snippets, amigo Pooky. Spit it out ("oot" if in Canada), si man!

Four hours to get the Pookymobile serviced and inspected and I still had to take it back today, as the check engine sensors decided to be stubborn and not reset on Saturday. :(

Still, it's done now and back to its usual awesomeness.

Well , we are in the middle of a derecho and water is pouring in everywhere, our basement, the section of the roof over our living room. I've never seen anything like this except during a hurricane.
