she wants to go to chengdu, become buddhist nun.

Sounds fun. Cross-cultural marriages are just bucket loads of freaking fun.

I am exhausted and will be happy to see the backside of her, really.

Still , no hard or fast decision today, so many things possible.

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !

we've had much chaos since she arrived. her version of 'obtaining peace again' is to become a buddhist nun.

This is the first time I've had any wine as an adult and it doesn't taste as bad as it did when I was younger, but still not very good. Not getting the drinking wine thing.

I've driven that road through Kansas before with my 18mpg Volvo and it wasn't a problem.

Maybe bring a gas can in the back just in case with the other way?

Oh Kansas will work but I want to go south because it's prettier. But I'm not sure it works for gas stops.

oh joy. more talk of divorce today. she wants to go to chengdu, become buddhist nun.

Life Choices !

Im surprised you guys are having so many issues truthfully. I guess length of marriage doesn't make moving any easier on either person. Is she just really not happy here? Could you move else where in the USA? Is China an option for you as a couple?

no - she's not happy here. I do many things to help her, seek happiness, but it only works half the time.

Maybe she was just spewing. I dunno. To be honest, we are both happier living apart. No, China is not any option for me for the next 3 to 4 years - I can go during school breaks, but that's it.

I am very distraught by most of her stuff, as a man and a problem solver, trying to help her with these problems usually fails. I can give advice to other people, but not to her.
