just back from second interview...it was an informal 'chat' with Many people (Many staff, 1 client) in the staff lounge. they mostly asked standard interview questions, like [...]

Friday back-report, see and sigh and ouch, man:

Awoke after one & one-quarter hours (at Many a.m.) in writhing pain, ouch man.

Mrs. T-B. got yelled at for again forgetting to leave the toilet seat up (no laughing matter, no man).

Mrs. T-B. offered to concoct a supposedly effective Ecu back-remedy, eyeroll man.

Remedy turns out to be a warshcloth soaked in hot salt water, sea man.

Remedy very effectively got bed wet under heating-pad, sigh man.

I groaned for ice; Mrs. T-B. retrieved Many icepacks, freeze man.

Applied ice; abandoned after half a minute; returned to heating-pad; abandoned it, sigh man.

Stagger-limped out of bed again; ingested a Tylenol Many pill, drug man.

Somehow fell asleep for another one & one-quarter hours, miracle man.

Awoke semi-on time despite not having set alarm clock, no man.

Stagger-limped like a baastard, emergently gulped 2 steroid pills, stagger-limped downstairs, ouch man.

Pills had some effect but not as much as usual, si and no man.

Made it unhappily to work, grouch man.

Called vaunted Spine Center; left message with nurse, black hole man.

Piddled with project, distracted by pain, ouch man.

Finally popped a daytime Vicodin, ingest man.

Fell asleep at desk for a full hour, zzz man.

Awoke still in pain, evaluated situation, exclaimed "Screw the Spine Center," dismiss man.

Called regular doc; left message with nurse, semi-black hole man.

Piddled with project, distracted by pain, ouch man.

Toward Many p.m., called nurse #2 for update, none man.

Toward Many p.m., called nurse #2 in increasing panic for update, man.

At one minute to Many p.m., learned that doc had called in another Rx for steroid pills, whee man.

However, action came too late to get actual shot of something effective, sigh man.

Informed Mrs. T-B.; "How will you get any help?" said she man.

Left office depressed, down man.

However, filled T-B.-mobile with cheapest gas in town ($Many.Many/gal) on way home, $i man.

Got haircut at usual place for the usual $Many; had nice chat with barber, he man.

Got to casa, back hurting, ouch man.

Beheld almost completely clean kitchen, uh-oh man.

Correctly deduced that Mrs. T-B. had had company over, oh no man.

Opened dishwarsher; beheld entire contents of sink thrown randomly in there, sigh man.

Ate dinner; un-dished the warsher; warshed crudded dishes; dished warsher.

Back on fire, not boding well for overnight, ouch and no man.

Told Mrs. T-B. that on Saturday we shall patronize Mexican medical clinic, si man.

Mrs. T-B. shall translate, si and she man.

Mrs. T-B. shall keep them from charging me Gringo Prices, $i man.

Plans to buy tyres on Saturday are less firm than before, see man...

...property manager e-mailed: A/C at rental casa blowing hot air & compressor not cycling, hot man.

Back hurts like baastard, ouch man.

Must de-dish warsher and minister to expectant cat, sigh and miu man.

Then prep and no-zzz, man.

However, it occurs to us that we have leftover prednisone pills from Many years ago, hope man.

Perhaps they are not completely expired, no man.

We shall pop a few pre-bed and hope, zzz man.

Husband tonight tells me that tiles in our house are a bad idea because the old floor joists are squeaky, far apart, and not level. Yes, they can be fixed, but at what cost/time, or likelihood to turn around and settle again with more flooding or frost heaves....
