I'll talk with my son's mother, and that's about it. the rest of them can go pound sand.

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !

Everyone is individual. Maybe I just never dated anyone worth talking to afterwards. I have a friend who is great friends with one of her exes. They divorced because they were better friends and didn't have spark anyhow. Whatever works.

Quick update from me before I disappear into the ether again.

-Move to new 2-bed apartment went well-ish, apart from in-laws being grouchy and saying I was lazy.

-EAD/AP Combo arrived last week, woo. Can finally start sorting out a DL in Rhode Island.

-Looks like I'll be going on this course I mentioned way back in Sept/Oct.

Apart from that, keeping myself somewhat busy with things.

And back out I go, after one last post in the UK forum telling them not to bother me. That's the only reason I'm looking at the site, because someone PMed me about a non-K1 topic.

Don't like dealing with ex's either, maybe because my ex turned into a control freak. My ex also turned into a control freak. When I refused to let her control everything, that's when the I want a divorce talk always popped up. I finally relented and gave it to her after leaving more than once when she asked me to. Only to have her later ask me to come back. I never gave her that opportunity on the last time though.

Eh, not so much pissed. More of a "I can't be arsed to deal with this anymore" kind of thing these days.

Totally understand that. I give some advice when I feel like it. But I don't want to feel obliged to give advice all the time. I'd totally burn out to.

But you like to be in contact with your exes Nola and I do not. I do not talk to any other ex, and its not like I don't have a few back there. Hubs doesn't talk to his ex and I'm glad.

I actually haven't talked to my ex-husband since January, I think we are done talking now since I married the Dane. It has been a few sentences here or there, but after a time I had moral issues with the fact that he didn't see his daughter.

I guess I've always been the type to date friends or date people I have a lot in common with. They are the types of people I would have as friends, but I've always had blurred lines with male friends... so, it is how it is. Maybe also a bit more fluid than monogamy allows for.

apart from in-laws being grouchy and saying I was lazy.

That's cute.

Kat,

Not sure if I should go buy this T-shirt or not..

yes! i like darnell's dress idea

I hate #3. With a passion. I clean up that stuff daily - and no, it ain't mines.

Still, is easier to do when it's still wet. I can only imagine that is more difficult, when coming back to the house, and finding it quite dry. Hint - put a wet rag on the spot, hold it there (or duct tape it in place) for 5 minutes, then wipe all off. Chisel not required, using this method.

For #4 - a cheap fix is to thrown in scented baby powder into the shoes, 3 or 5 times each day till the smell is not noticeable.

interesting, they had a giant bottle of baby powder in the bathroom. left patches of powder on the floor and rugs each time they came out from there. never did figure out what they used it for - certainly wasn't to keep their shoes smelling fresh.

i will leave the cleaning up of #3 to the husband lol. not touching that sh*t, literally.

Ewwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww

Do you wear your "outdoor" shoes inside your home?

Do do you wear house slippers or something?

i don't, jonas and i go barefoot in the house, and i always ask that people take their shoes off when they enter. once, my MIL asked if she could keep hers on and assured me that they had just been cleaned. i said sure. but after they left i vacuumed the whole apartment lol.

Flying to Seattle on 6 May 2014!

just back from second interview...it was an informal 'chat' with 6 people (5 staff, 1 client) in the staff lounge. they mostly asked standard interview questions, like how do you handle stressful situations and conflict, why do you feel you're a good fit for this position (some of it repeats from the first interview, but good opportunity to give more examples). then a tour around the premises. i think there are at least two other people in the running because the guy who gave me the tour asked if the client wanted to come along too and mentioned that she didn't have to because she had already tagged along for the "others in the morning". they said i would hear from them next week, so i will go for the CVS training this sunday and start work there first.

 I walk outside barefoot, so I think our floors are pretty gross probably.
