One, Two... Many Rants

oh so similar indeed....his comment of "the chances you will get your papers is around 30%" remember that yes ? The only reason he got that paper to me is because I told him that nothing will stop me from leaving him so he can try and make it more painful but it won't change a thing.

I think he will face (I hope) reality once I am gone...now he still sees me around and keeps thinking I will change my mind and start cutting his toe nails and brushing his hair and sleeping with him and cooking and all will just be the way he wants it. No amount of talking will ever change his lack of ability to face the facts. So whatever makes him sleep better.

Rutgers keeps asking me about the start date...uhm...they are running background checks..I told them that the moment those were done we can settle on a date since I am ready to go anywhere between 27th of July and August 1st and since I will be staying at a hotel for 2 weeks I am ready whenever they are....not sure what else to tell them.

I'd just give them a date that you'll be ready to be there. Giving them a range just confuses them.

As to the papers from my ex, I'd been trying to get them for over a year, asking every time I saw her when I picked up my daughter. I was actually about a week away from filing a contested divorce so I could compel her to provide her financial information. I just needed to double check all my paperwork on the contested filing. Other than pure laziness, I have no idea why she constantly failed to provide them.

Take all the cords for the monitors, comp, etc... hold them hostage until you have what you need signed if it's not done by the time you leave. Cords are easy to detach from computers and monitors because they unplug from both sides.

So my wife's work is having a pot luck lunch in her department tomorrow. And their boss decides everyone should bring an Italian dish. #######? how is everyone supposed to know how to cook a dish from a particular ethnic group? I know I don't cook anything Italian, and neither does my wife obviously.

I do.....do some sort of pasta salad....I do tuna since it tastes good cold also. Or you can do gnocchi they are easy enough to make especially if using ricotta. Or make pizza :D

Do a salad with balsamic vinegar dressing...that will do it....cannot do risotto which sucks, vitello tonnato is good too (Veal in this yummy sauce).

and ya I know...me telling you this will do you about as good as it would do me if you gave me names of the things you guys make..sorry....:(

I know!!! And its a she. My wife had actually planned on making lumpia, which I'm sure they would have loved. She had yet to trust her coworkers enough to make a food from her country. And then the boss had this Great idea (sic). Her boss also didn't understand when all the workers were not thrilled to suddenly be required to golf for an outing. Hello not everyone knows how to, or even have a desire to learn how to golf.

Two people golf, the boss and one other. They were gloating over how well they did over the other non-golfers in the department. As if that didn't make them feel even better being pushed into something they didn't want to do in the first place.

I've told her she should just bring french bread. We can just buy that.

Nik is from so far north, that she only ever saw the sun for 2 hours a day....

Maybe in winter. We have a great deal more sun than anything south in the summer. But the sun is not nearly as strong. Plus as a country girl, my legs have seen very little sun from age 8+. Lol.

Italian is super easy to cook - just look up a recipe for chicken parmesan or veal parmesan or baked ziti. Baked ziti might be easier for a larger scale.
