Hello,

My main question is: How is to have your entry denied? What happens to you? Do they allow you call someone, like your family or fiance to say what happened? Is something really scaring?

My situation is: Me and my fiance asked for a K1 Visa in the begging of May, and I thinking about visiting him in USA, as soon as he is working now and cant come to Brazil.

BUT, I just graduated from College and I dont have a job, Im just studying by myself for a exam to get a job at the brazilian government. So, I know I have real chances to have my entry denied at USA, but still want to try to see my fiance :(

Thanks a lot :)

Usually they let you call someone from what I understand. I don't think you should worry about being denied entry, though, especially if you have visited before. Good luck.

Yeah, I've already been to US, twice in less than a year, but always said I was just travelling to visit friends (never mention about my bf). Thanks a lot for your answer :)

Natálya, if you already have a tourist visa you probably won't have any problems. I came to the US once during the K1 process, when my interview had already been scheduled, and everything went okay. I was unemployed at the time, so I didn't have much proof of ties to Brazil, but I had been here several times and was confident that I wouldn't have any problems. I brought my NOA1 and NOA2, but the immigration officer didn't even ask to see them, even though I had told him I was here in the US to spend Xmas and NYE with my fiancé and his family (POE was Atlanta btw).

Good luck!

Just going to throw you a curve ball... My fiance was denied entry driving into the US from Canada. They were real jerks, but they don't "detain" you or anything like that. It's basically just a "turn around and go home" kind of thing. Since we had already filed our K1 they did interrogate her and do biometrics + take a photograph. She had to sign some paperwork saying she was voluntarily forfeiting her entrance into the US.

If you don't have evidence that you are going back to your home country it does increase the likelihood that they will deny your entry. I'm not trying to sway you, but I do want you to understand that there is a possibility that they won't allow you to enter the country because you have already filed "intent to immigrate".

Was it worth the shot when we tried? Yes. Did I enjoy driving 2,500 miles home by myself? No. Haha...

Best of luck!
