The county health clinic won't know what you need. The CS exam takes place over a few days, so you can go to the first appointment, get a list of vaccines you need from the CS, then go the the country health clinic and bring back the proof of shots to the CS for the exam. Ask them if they accept it first, but that is what we did. In fact, the CS told my husband to go the county health clinic and get a free shot and bring it back to him.

Harpa you were right right! He went for his vaccines today to have a head start before his Clinic appointment on 7th May (only $100 for tests without vaccines) and they told him they can't advise of which vaccines are required for him as it is the Dr’s decision which vaccine is required. Also they can't vaccinate the Tdap before the skin work is finished by the Dr. Also MMR and Varicella (if you need it depend on the Dr's advise) must be done the same day otherwise they have to be 28 days apart from each other and the County Clinic didn't have Varicella. So he must wait until 7th May. Now it's time to get down to the forms and other things. Thanks!

Thanks you all for the overall help! :)

I was unemployed for almost two years collecting unemployment from the State of California during that time. I have now been employed for the last nine months. I have my 2013 1099G(Jan-Oct Unemployment) and W2(Oct-Dec salary from employer) forms along with my tax filings from that year.

My salary puts me over the 125% poverty level. I will also get a verification of employment and wages from my employer to submit. Do you think that is enough evidence and USCIS can figure it out that I can support my husband? Thanks :)

You can submit the last 3 years tax transcripts.

You can get a blood test done to draw titres and see which vaccines you have immunity for (Hepatitis, measles, rubella, varicella etc) and then you know which you need. You can also get a blood test (quantiferon gold) instead of the skin test/CXR to show you are clear of TB. THe blood test for TB is more expensive than the skin test though.

Current income is generally what counts, so if you can prove current income with either 6 months of paystubs or a letter from your employer, then you will be good to go.

Regarding varicella, that is chicken pox and most people had the disease. The CS will accept verbal confirmation for it, if your husband had it before.

Tdap is tetanus and diptheria and whooping cough. The skin test you get is a test for tuberculosis. The US does not give a vaccine for tuberculosis.

It's good to be proactive, but on this, it is much easier and just as efficient to get the doctor's orders, then get the vaccines that s/he says you need, instead of trying to guess beforehand. Easy peasy.

AOS for my husband
8/17/10: INTERVIEW DAY (day 123) APPROVED!!

ROC:
5/23/12: Sent out package

Did he have to serve any kind of probation, or take an alcohol awareness class? Those things were required in Canada, and I just got a letter from my probation officer that I had completed it. Unfortunately, I only got two copies, darnit, and now that I am filing citizenship I need to get another one.

Yes he has done a alcohol awareness course to drop his disqualification from 16 month to 12 month, which he doesn't have the paperwork anymore. We probably going to file it without it and only provide the Court record and police reference. Thanks :)

Hi genddob, this a good idea to figure out which vaccine are required in general for any individual but I wonder if CS would accepts this in the place of the actual written records. thanks for the info! :)

I will dig in to find all my paystubs for six month and will add the employer letter and the last tax return to it to have the safe side. Thanks Harpa! :)

Let me know how it goes, I always figured I was maybe reading things too literally regarding that, and it really was a pain to get hold of that letter. Good luck with your filing!

Current USCIS status: WT (Visa Waiver Tourist)

Expires on: 17 August 2004 (this is the date under his WT stamp which shows the 90th days)

Non-immigrant Visa number: (Typed nothing)
