Hello VJ'ers,

I'm starting to fill-up the AOS (I-864, expires on 3/31/2015) form for my parents and on the very 1st page of the form, just right column of Part 1 section/question, there's a 'Mailing Address' section, whose information should I put in here (Petitioner or Beneficiary)? Also, same with the 'Other Information' secion, is it the Peitioner's (me) or the beneficiary (parents)? Just want to make sure I fill-up the right information to avoid returns/delays as much as possible... Thanks in advance!

- John

PS: I checked the sample I-864 (for CR1 petition though) form here and that's where I got confused after cross comparing it to the OLD I-864 form samples I found as well :)... I'm currently residing here in the US by the way...

Info on page 1 should be of the beneficiary. The petitioner's addresses must be included in page 3. Don't leave "Sponsor´s Place of Residence" blank. If it is the same as the mailing address, type the same address again. Use the sample as a guide http://www.visajourney.com/examples/INS-Form-I-864.pdf , after printing the form, write N/A on all the blank spaces with black ink. Write none on the spaces for the beneficiary's alien and ss numbers (in case they don't have any). Do not leave anything blank (I know that the instructions say otherwise, but other members have recently gotten checklists for this)

Good luck

Ah, thanks so much for the confirmation... I was filling up the online I-864 fillable PDF form from USCIS and that page 1 made me think twice because when I was filling-up the mailing address it auto-fill the 'Country' field in the Mailing Address section with 'USA" and it's not accepting a non-US base zip code, weird huh? Anyway, I'll take your advice and fill those fields with the Benificary's information... And I might write down some of the info there since they have character limitations :) Thanks again!

EDIT: Nevermind about the auto-fill bug, it appears the form was restricted that when you fill the zip code field, it ties/pertains only to US zip codes... So I just have to fill-in the Postal Code field instead...

Yes exactly, for US addresses fill State and Zip code, and write N/A on postal code and province.. For foreign addresses, you do the opposite (fill postal code and province, write N/A on state and zip).

It is advisable to download the form and fill it in Adobe Acrobat reader :) This way you can save it and if you need to change/add anything in the future it will be easier. Good luck :)
