I'm having the medical exam next week, and the Canberra Embassy web site says the report will expire in either 3 months or 6 months. I'm pretty sure they're going to assess me as having 'Class B medical condition', because I have a couple of chronic health conditions.

Does anyone know, does that automatically mean my medical exam is only valid for 3 months? Or have people with Class B conditions been given the 6 month expiry?

If it matters, I'm having the medical exam in Sydney.

I've searched and searched the forum, but just can't find a clear answer; I'd really appreciate it if anyone with Class B could tell me how long their exam was valid for. Thank you!

Might've finally found an answer to my own question after hours of searching:

"How long is the overseas medical examination of aliens valid?

For applicants examined in countries using the 2007 TB Technical Instructions (now referred to as the Culture and Directly Observed Therapy [DOT] Technical Instructions), the medical exam is valid for:

6 months if the applicant does not have a Class A TB, Class B1 TB, or HIV condition;

or 3 months if any of these conditions exist."

Still... did anyone on here get a 3 month exam validity, for anything other than TB or HIV? Or is it strictly only TB or HIV that gets you limited to 3 months from exam date to travel?
