They see a racist behind every corner I have worked with some of the same.

It does get tiring some time, you come in here to relax and shot the #######, before you know it the racist come out of the wood work Everything is about race to some of them.

And I see some who come here with an agenda and post nothing but negatives about what their target happens to be, gays, blacks, Muslims, Jews, etc, but blacks are at the top of the list. See, I don't believe that said users are doing it out of a desire for discussion. Especially when they have a history of doing ti for years. I get it clearly, some here don't like certain races or religions. Some are so limited mentally that they think one particular political party has all the answers. Those who feel the Democrats have the answers are just as moronic as those who think the Republicans do. And we have extremists on both sides. Ditto for the anti-gun and gun nuts.

If I hated a particular race that much, I'd join a hate forum so I could use all of those slurs that I can't use here. It would be so much fun to bash blacks, whites, Mexicans, Muslims, etc without worries of repercussion, wouldn't it? It seems like it would be a match made in heaven. I realize we have all grown up in different parts of the country and have be exposed to different things. I grew up in the Northeast, so I don't know what it was like in the South with forced busing, etc. I also know that I have plenty of faults of my own and that I mentally stereotype at times.

At the end of the day, we are what we are, flaws and all. I do find it comical that some here with wives from third world countries have the white supremacist attitude.

Conversely, there are fair few people on here who seem completely ignorant of the meaning of their words. How does this happen?

I'd wager most of these people wouldn't dare say these things in real life. Here you can be billy bad butt with the worse thing happening to you is a suspension/ban. There's no real repercussions for being a bigoted person here. If we were all in the same room, I know those folks wouldn't make the same comments, unless they were armed.

+100. But like I said I think the wives from different countries is the sole reason why they can't join without having to explain it. You can hate black people, gays, and muslims without too many problems because it's the IN thing to do. Imagine if I were to be racist against Chinese or women from the PI? I'd be bounced from here so quick, my head would spin.

Good post but I was being a little joking.. To me the people that see race in everything and blame racism for every ill of man are just as Racist as those who blame blacks, Muslims etc for everything that is wrong in this country or fail to acknowledge 300 years of oppression is a t least a contributing factor to the problems of the black race.

You can't have open honest discussion if you can't express an opinion with out being called a bigot. I don't think Obama is a good leader, therefore I must be a racist. I recognize that Islam has a huge problem with fanatics, violence and intolerance that is structured and exists in all predominantly Muslim countries. It's a well documented fact. It does not mean all Muslims are bad but it's there. If it is pointed out, right away we are called homophobes and Racist.

Here's the trick. If you're going to have a discussion about race, you have to have respect. Is there problems within the black community? Yes. Is racism a part of the struggle? Yes. See how easy that was. The problem is the ones who are so eager to talk about it only want to discuss the first part and leave the second part out completely.

Try this. Instead of saying why are black people so lazy, ask why is the unemployment rate so high? Talk to the person, not at them. Focus on the WHOLE problem, not only the parts you feel comfortable about.

hmm black people being lazy has never been anything close to anything I have ever said . I think black unemployment is high for a number of reasons. You can't just go with one.

Let me ask you this. Southern Baptists are generally bigoted toward gays. Is that racist or whatever you call it when you label a trend in a certain religion ?

I was talking about the conversations that are had here and IRL when it comes to the unemployment rate. It's been said the Affirmative Action is some magic bullet that grants instant employment to minorities. But the unemployment rate is twice that the national average. If I can waltz in and get a Civil Service Job, go to jail and still get paid(it's been said here), and basically be some lazy bum with a SES job, what's holding me back?

Southern Baptists, in my view, are just like any other deeply religious section. My family is extremely religious but they don't discriminate against gay people. My grandfather is a preacher, been one forever. Let's just say I wish I was there when my cousin brought his boyfriend home. I don't know which was more shocking, the fact it was a guy or the fact he was white.

Agreed, except I don't think some people want to have an open discussion nor do they post what they do with the intent of doing so. If someone makes 1000 posts and 900 of them are negative about a particular race religion, etc, it's not about honest discussion.

I wouldn't be so sure about that. Remember, the people who post here are real people. I can only imagine what a few of the whack jobs are like in real life.

Why did a post about Taco John's in North Dakota and a gaytard nametag turn into a race discussion? How boring. There was lots of potential for North Dakota jokes here, all wasted.

If someone also makes 90% of their posts about how miserably there race is being treated by my race, then INMHO that is just as wrong as what the preach against.

example. They claim time and time again that an convicted felon is more accepted as a job candidate than a black person with 3 degrees.

Obvious conclusion. For this to be true which it is not, the vast majority of white people have to be racist and engage is systematic racist polices. Also not true. But of course it's not racist when you make broad untrue judgements about white people.

Hi I just popped in to tell you how boring you all are and criticize everything you say, in a thread I care nothing about, because I demand civility and respect at all times because we should all be nice to one another.

LMAO

You are such a sensitive flower, NB.

Race has been talked about before ad nauseum, but gaytards in North Dakota, now there's some potential.

I am, in fact, suggesting to get back on topic. Remember when threads were closed for going off topic?

So I am being warned by someone who popped into a thread to make an off topic comment. You really crack me up.

You gonna close this thread now ?

By the way Gaytard is violation of the TOS .

No, I am giving no such warning.

This is why I think you fundamentally misunderstand what I say, because you read into things and make baseless conclusions. No warning here. No way no how.

I posted in this thread early on. I can care about it. A Gaytard nametag is the topic.
