Congrats! I know that feeling! :D Spent 2-3 weeks coming up with everything, then an entire weekend putting it together and... it looked so pretty in the end, all nice and organized and labeled at the bottom... and then UPS took it all away!

Us too. Spent a couple of weeks trying to get everything together. It was a bitter-sweet moment when I went to the post office yesterday, because I'm afraid after sending it that I'll remember I could have put more evidence in there. But on the other hand, I'm also proud that we did it alone and saved on that money by not using a lawyer.

All the best!

AOS from F-1, maintaining status

August 2010 was introduced to each other during a visit in NY.
01/14/2012: Arrived at JFK with F-1 visa with the intention of studying for three years, and then do OPT. Intention was not to get married!
Yet, almost five semesters as a full-time international student later he proposed ...

04/07/2014: Married in Queens, NY

06/26/2014: I-485, I-130, I-765, I-131 and supporting documents sent to Chicago Lockbox via USPS Priority.

07/07/2014: Received NOA of I-130, I-485, I-131, I-765 dated 07/02. --- What a great 3-month anniversary gift!

07/15/2014: Received Biometrics appointment scheduled 07/31, in Long Island City.

07/31/2014: Biometrics done. Process took 45 minutes. 99% was waiting time. Awesome people working there. Good experience!

08/06/2014: Case i-485 updated to Testing & Interview on uscis.gov - - Yay!

08/29/2014: Updates on I-765, card in production as well as I-131.

ROC

10/07/2016: USPS stated I-751 was delivered. Also sent in fee waiver request.
10/19/2016: Got everything back, with denied fee waiver. They misspelled my name. Makes me wonder if they even read my application. My name is all over the papers.

Yes I filed it for my wife without a lawyer. Gosh, really, what a trip. I also think the I130guide2 should be updated, especially regarding the I765 and I131. Apparently there are more documents you have to attach that are not listed on the guide. Fortunately I read through it all in the papers, but would have made my life a bit easier if they had mentioned it there. Also, they didn't mention the fact that if your spouse is on I-20, to include all copies of that. But anywho, overall it was tough! But got it done, organized and put it together. Will keep updating as the process unfolds. Fortunately I have 3-4 other friends who've all gone through the same process so it's been nice to be in touch with them too..

Oh, noes! I didn't include copies of my I-20. :S Just copies of the entire passport, including the visa. I suppose I'll get an RFE for that, or if I'm lucky, I'll just bring it to the interview.

Well, honestly I never remember it being explicitly stated that you needed it, but I threw it in anyway just to be safe. We don't want any delays.. and it's a legal government document so it seemed relevant, I included it with everything.. I figure.. more can't hurt.. right?? Also, I only included my most recent one, but I'm pretty sure they want copies of previous ones too.. anywho hope the latest one will suffice otherwise will get RFEd. but honestly there was so much paperwork I'd be surprised if we didn't get RFEd

After some searching, I also couldn't find where they specifically ask for it. And I already got RFE'd for something else, but not this. Hmm, we shall see :)
