I am an F-1 student, married a US citizen, applying for green card, our I-130 is under initial review. We will be applying for AOS (I-485) shortly. Since its processing takes many months, so I want to file for an advanced parole (I-131), in case I have to travel to my home country for family emergency. My question is what should be put in the intended date of travel, since I don't know if at all I will be travelling?

You cannot apply for AP until the I-485 has been filed.

Then yes, you can apply for the AP at the same time, and can simply enter "Unknown" for dates of travel.

Because we couldn't afford the $1400 at a time. We saved for the I -130 and by the time we get a decision, we are saving for the I-485. We thought initiating the process of obtaining a green card would be wise as it takes a lot of time.
