I go to irs website to downloan the tax transcripts from 2009-2013 for five years, but there is not 2009 year tax return transcript, they only have 2009 tax account transcript in it. the 2009 tax account transcipts showing we filed it and we don't owe anything. why they don't have 2009 tax return transcript?

I went to my husband's account, it still doesn't have 2009 year one. they said we can call the auto phone to order it if the year is not there, I call them, the auto phone said there is not 2009 year tax return transcript.

what's the problem? can I use 2009 tax account transcript in interview? should I call IRS to ask them the reason?

Please help with it.

Why do you need 2009 transcript? Just get the past three years and that should be sufficient if they are even asked.

You only need 3 years in all cases and sometimes they don't even ask for them. I applied by 5 year rule and had three years of transcripts with me and the officer didn't ask for them at all. You're good with the three years! Good luck. You don't need to send them in - only bring with you to interview. :)

Great news, thanks, I didn't sent it. By 5 year rule, do I need to bring marriage certificate and other joint document? I got green card from my husband

No, you don't have to bring marriage/joint docs for 5 year rule. I applied using the 3 year rule and brought all that stuff to my interview and never had to show any if it. Good luck!

Just take all documents that you have.

One of my friend applied under 5 year rule and the interviewing officer asked him if he was married, he answered Yes and asked him to show marriage certificate so you never know!

Yes bring the marriage certificate - my officer asked for it even thought I applied under the 5 year rule. I don't think you need any other marriage evidence.
