"On the evening of September 11, 2012, Islamic militants attacked the American diplomatic mission at Benghazi, in Libya, killingU.S. Ambassador J. Christopher Stevens and Sean Smith, U.S. Foreign Service Information Management Officer.[6] Stevens was the first U.S. Ambassador killed on duty since 1979.[7]"

Seems to me like muslims/islamists were responsible. So no, it's not bigotry. It's fact.

I believe Ahmed Abu Khattala is a muslim, right? Seems to be...

I reckon we'll find out more as time goes on.

Seriously, don't try and defend it. It's not worth it and you aren't clever enough to pull it off.

Google Konishki. That's my real name!

What's a boo?

Ain't gonna do it. I have been trying to teach you how to post proper, enticing factoids here. Giving in to your "text generation" excuse won't assist in the education process. :)

A "boo" is your baby, loved one, sweet nuffin'.

Or it can be a ghost, depending on how much belief you have in them.

big·ot

noun \ˈbi-gət\

: a person who strongly and unfairly dislikes other people, ideas, etc. : a bigoted person; especially : a person who hates or refuses to accept the members of a particular group (such as a racial or religious group)

And as such, being a bigot is not always a bad thing, though today's society wants to make it seem so. Only narrow-minded people scream BIGOT and try to stir up loathing for folks who are.

If I "unfairly" dislike someone, that is an example of bad bigotry.

If I dislike islamist mlitants because they indiscriminately kill innocent people, I don't see ANYTHING wrong with that. I also don't like the KKK, for the record. OMG, I am a bigot! Now I hate me...

I fail to see how tarring all muslims with the brush of extremism and collective responsibility for it is a positive thing. But presumably you can explain why it should be.

Oh right, you did. Being bigoted against bigots is bigoted. That's effing brilliant. Not. Yes, I've heard it before - it's a crock of #######.

We don't need the dictionary definition, at least I don't.

And yes - bigotry is a bad thing, because it involves setting aside rational thought.

It does not come in 'good' categories.

The question is, why is the religion the forefront? When a shooting or crime goes down here, it's never that Christian or that Baptist? If I went and shot someone, would I be the Navy Sailor who killed someone or that Muslim? I'd wager the latter, even if it had nothing to do with it.

“Hate is too great a burden to bear. It injures the hater more than it injures the hated.” – Coretta Scott King

"Oppressive language does more than represent violence; it is violence; does more than represent the limits of knowledge; it limits knowledge." -Toni Morrison

He who passively accepts evil is as much involved in it as he who helps to perpetrate it.

Going back to the example of the image I posted from the other thread. When people refer to muslims in a general context as being somehow responsible or complicit with terrorist acts - they are saying that they don't see any difference between muslim and muslim extremist.

Any other interpretation is simply poor reading comprehension.

IDK why religion is brought up. But it is. All the time, and not just islam. Christianity, catholicism, I've seen them used as well. Be honest and admit that when you hear catholic, you think about priests and altar boys.

NOPE... if you did it, it would be that "wack black guy from ESL."

If you're going to insult me, do it properly. I'm from the other side of the river, 314 not 618. But knowing my luck it will go down just like that.

The latest mass shooters, I have no clue what they're religion is. They never talk about it. The only person who had his religion mentioned was James Holmes. And that's he converted in prison. Guess what he converted to?

Having driven thru ESL a couple times (yyes, I had a loaded .45 on the passenger seat), I would never insult someone from that area!!
