I think when you have a city like Detroit that is bankrupt and experienced crippling unemployment, that the government should step in, rather than leave people with nothing.

Shutting off people's water is wrong.

All you will hear from the right side of government is "Who will pay for it? We wont because it doesnt affect us".

And the left is so weak and neutered that they cant do a thing.

It costs a lot to demolish a house, especially when they have been vandalised etc.

Abandon the place then. It wont be the first country in the world to have ghost towns.
