Hey guys. I couldn't find any recent information on these. all i could find is from 2011. Was wondering if there are any changes.

I am a little freaking out because I am not familiar with any medical stuff and when i start reading all the resources that are mentioned here, it is all written with complicated medical language:( Anyway somebody could explain in an easy language?

My fiancee turned 24 in May. From what I read she just needs:

MMR

Tdap/Td/Dtp

Varicella(Chickenpox)

Influenze(Would it hurt do to it just in case if it is not a flu season? and How long is it active for? so let's say interview is sometimes in September(Not a flu season) and then when we apply for AOS it will be flu season, will they require one more flu shot if we already did it on march 30th? )

Human Papillonomavirus

What else? We will be applying for AOS as soon as we can so asnwers as no vaccination are required at the time of K1 Visa interview are not an option;)

From this list, your fiancée should only need MMR, Tdap and varicella. The Human Papillonomavirus is not a required vaccine for AOS. The influenza vaccination is only needed during flu season. If your medical is not during flu season, you are not required to get the vaccine, nor should you be required to get it later if you file AOS during flu season. When they adjudicate your AOS application, they will look at the date of your medical to determine if you were or were not required to get the flu vaccine.

Also, you only need the first shot in a series for AOS.

Had Medical today.

FYI, make sure your MMR and TD are done after you are 18 years old. if you have one done before 18 you will need another one done once you turn 18. I didn't know this. Costs $200 for these two in the clinic.

So health insurance doesn't cover these shots?

There is no good insurance system in Azerbaijan and most people do not have health insurance. As far as other countries, that's something to ask your insurance as pretty sure every policy is defferent.

As for your second question. Put in search on this forum - Vaccination. you gonna have an asnwer in one of the topics.

then it will most likely be assumed she has had none of the vaccinations and will be given the appropriate ones for her age group (usually these are MMR, Td/Tdap, varicella and influenza.)

note on the last two shots:

- varicella: some countries will take the applicants word that they have had chicken pox in the past. some require proof of scars or note from a doctor. some require a blood test for immunity. look for reviews of the medical process in your regional portal to find out how the clinics in your country will handle lack of documentation.

- influenza: only required for medicals performed during flu season, i.e. 1st October to 31st March of every year.

I don't know how it is in your country, but in the Philippines all the shots are included in the medical fee.

If there are no childhood shot records, then it would be assumed you have not received any vaccinations, and thus would need all the required shots.
