Still haven`t received my resident card. help?

I came to the states(GA) at the end of July 2006. I got about 6 welcome to the united states letters and almost straight away i went to apply for a social security number. I had no problems and i was working and living without any hiccups. The first time the lack of resident card hit me was when i came to take my driving test. I had really not thought about it as it had not been required until then.

Anyway i eventually took my test but the resident card had not arrived so my license was set to expire on january 9th. Well despite calling USCIS 2 or 3 times i still don`t have it. My resident card was apparently mailed out to me and returned. I found this out at the start of November when i called the USCIS the first time. They told me that it took up to 30 days so i could not call until 30 days had passed. Then at the start of December i called again and was told this time told t took 45 days.

Since then i moved and filed an AR11 and i got 2 more welcome letters.

Current status is i have an expired driving license and about 7 welcome letters but no resident card. Does anybody know of a way i can be sure i get my resident card?

Make an infopass appointment at your local office and get them to help you sort it out.... take all the welcome letters with you.... the ones from your old address and the ones from your new address...

Also make sure your last name is on your mailbox as other have had mail returned because there is no name on the mailbox... may be worth talking to your mailperson and telling them you are expecting mail from USCIS...
