My fiancee is going to enter the US in a month and we will be married shortly after on a K1 Visa.

She is a citizen of Ukraine, but from Crimea. Because in the future we will be traveling to Crimea, it is in her interest to get a Russian passport before she comes to the US. This way future trips to Crimea will be simple and without visa complications.

In the eyes of the US, can this be a problem in the future when she applies for citizenship in America?

The US really doesn't care about your prior citizenship, they would care about membership in the communist party and certain other organizations

This will not be over quickly. You will not enjoy this.
