Just google iMac weight followed by the year, for instance the currently 21.5" iMac is 5.68kg. You can then weight the packaging on it's own and add it up, it'll give you a more accurate total weight that you can work from

I'm in the same position with every other belonging, it was has been seold, given away or donated :)

Yeah i'd gone this route to find the iMac weighs in at 9.3kg, but with no way of knowing the weight of packaging until I actually pack it I estimated 10kg, hence the quote from FedEx.

Is anyone aware of a slower courier method that comes in cheaper? And container isn't really best value in this instance - i'n not sending anything else.
