Hi all,

I am from Armenia and my case number in 2015EU6***. when I look at the visa bulletin for DV from last 10 years I assume that my interview will either be late Oct or early Nov, but why the hell all the agencies here tell me that it will be probably at the beginning of next year. I don't understand that.

Also I am done with DS_260 form now. Could anyone please advise if I can start collecting documents for the interview now? (police certicicate, medical paper)

Thanks, before hand.

hi, suny,

for police certificate, you can ask and search from your authority, each country have different requirement, process to get PC and length of expired date PC. so, if you know already about PC from your authority, i think you can adjust when you can start.

for medical paper, i got info also from vj forum, they mention here, do medical examination 1 week before interview, because medical result will come after 1 week, but again may be each country different,

that's all what i got from VJforum, just do crosscheck with us embassy in your place

Agencies are mostly a scam. Don't listen to them and stick to the forums.

It's pretty clear to me your interview will be in October based on last year . Uzbekistan might become "special" but Armenia is too small.

Don't get medicals yet. Wait for the notification letter. You could get the Police Certificates now, but they might expire before the interview so check how long they are valid for. There's a chance your interview will be in November so make sure your police certificate is good for all of November.

Agree 100% with this advice.

Hello,

I have a question about education certificates. In my DS260 I specified the following education:

- Master of Science

- Bachelor of Science

- High School diploma

Do I have to provide certificates for all of them or is the certificate of the highest level obtained sufficient (Master of Science in this case) since it implies the other two?

Thanks,

adalb

High School Diploma is a must as this is the requirement. In some countries you can get BSc and then MSc following vocational education which would not qualify. I would advise to have all three just in case :)

Have all three. People on similar situations have reported being asked to show:

- highest degree only

- high school diploma only

- all three certificates

This seems to vary even between COs at the same consulate! So to be on the safe side I would suggest taking all of them.

Ok, thanks to both of you!

I will be on the safe side and bring the 3 certificates.

Anyway, what happens if you go to the interview and the CO finds out that your documentation is not sufficient? Are you definitely rejected or can you ask for another interview date?

You will be put on AP (administrative processing) and your visa issuance will depend on you delivering required docs.

Yeah what Franko said. You'll get a form telling you what you need to submit to get the visa, assuming of course that everything else is in order. You won't need another interview, will just need to get the documents to them.

Hi guys,

sorry for keeping bothering you, but I have another question regarding documents to prepare.

In the govt site, they say you need to bring ORIGINAL documents or certified copies of high school diploma, university degree etc.

But... does it mean they will keep them? Or do I just need to show them and they will return the certificates to me?

Probably a silly question (sorry), but I want to be sure.

Thanks,

adalb

If they approve, they will keep only your travel passport to print the visa in. They want the originals to make sure that the copies are not fake. So don't worry about them keeping your originals, but be sure to take them to the interview.

Bring originals and copies. They keep the copies and give you back the originals, except (at least for us) the police certificates, where they said they needed to keep the originals.
