help needed plz "tax transcripts"

Our petition got approved by USCIS two months ago. We got the case number and we are trying to get our stuff ready for NVC stage.

My wife has a good job now but she still needs a cosponsor coz she didn't make enough the last 3 years coz of school.

We found a cosponsor, he runs his own business. When I asked him about his tax transcripts for the past three years he made his accountant send me 3 files each has like 50 pages and it has this written on the Cover "individual income tax returns"

Can you please tell me if that will work?

If not, what should I tell him exactly to send me coz I am not familiar with this tax thing. It is so confusing.

You will need 3 years worth of tax transcripts from the IRS. Have him go to www.irs.gov and either have them mail his transcripts or in many cases he can download and make copies of the transcripts himself.

So, in addition to that, I need him to send me a signed I-864 form and a proof of citizenship "copy of passport".

Should he attach another I-864 signed by his wife coz her name appears on the transcripts?

You can send either the entire tax return including w2s and all schedules OR the tax return transcript.

Yes he needs to sign a completed I-864 and attach proof of citizenship or LPR status, as per the I-864 instructions.

If he files jointly with his wife it is recommended she complete an I-864a to accompany his I-864.
