My fiance lives in Tunisia, we applied in April for his K1 and he is already going to his interview today! We are so excited and nervous! He had to go to the doctor appointment 2 days before his interview which was inconvenient since he lives 3 hours from the city where the hospital and the embassy are. Although despite the fact that we were unable to aquire all the necessary documents in time for the interview they told him he should come to the interview still and bring them on another day. Wish us luck!! ^_^:) <3

Do you just post this in a new thread to rub it in the face of people who have been waiting over 6 months for the NOA2? Because it looks like this. I'm sorry man, I'm happy for you, but try to be considerate. Some people around here have been waiting forever, and are told to still wait. So I mean you could've totally posted this in the March filers thread, instead of making your own thread for everyone to see this morning. It's super great that it's been so damn fast for you, but not everyone's got the same luck, and it just makes it even more depressing for us.

Sorry about the rant, but I've been seeing too many of these posts lately.

Good luck on the interview!!

Agreed. I'm starting to realise there are many trolls on this website. And more than a few inconsiderate people. I'm not sure how starting this new thread is helpful to anyone in any way other than to gloat, otherwise what was the point? They should've posted in the March filers thread.

VisaJourney is a great resource when used in the right way. Unfortunately, there are many people here who actually make it harder for everyone else.

WOW THAT WASN'T MY INTENTION AT ALL!!!! Maybe I didn't know where the appropriate place to post it was, I've had trouble in the past posting and finding information on this site, it isn't very organized. I've seen other people post success stories and expressing their excitement over their visa process before and was honestly expecting to hear positive feedback. Never would I want to rub my success story in other people's faces, how rude for anyone to assume...

Congratulations!! I read this type of comments.. people that don't like posts or threads of someone who have their NOA2 quickly... or I dont know. I really understand it... COME ON!! Wait for 6-7 months for NOA2?? That is unfair.. and others have their NOA2 in less than 2 months ??? BUT WE DONT HAVE ANYTHING TO DO WITH THIS RULES!! EVERYONE SENT THE APPLICATION TO THE SAME LOCKBOX ADDRESS.

WE CAN JUMP, CRY, SMILE, POST IN INTERNET, MAYBE CALL THE PRESIDENT BECAUSE OF THE FEELINGS.

Stumitop dont worry about that...ENJOY your new life.

Thanks for the response! I'm sorry if my comments upset you. There have been many threads from people going on about how quick they got approved and it is not easy for many of us to hear...many of us don't want to see threads like yours but I think under the circumstances with TSC and the massive discrepancy between the two centres, it's understandable people get pissed off.

You, however, don't sound like a troll at all, or one of the inconsiderate people I was talking about earlier. It's not your fault!! Enjoy this time and good luck!

I think I'm gonna stay off the website til I get approved. It's making me behave in a way I wouldn't normally. This is just not healthy!

No. You are wrong. Dead wrong. What you don't understand is that you are not in a line-up with anyone else, and no one butted in ahead of you. Every single case is unique, and will take as long as it takes. Some are faster than others. You are in a line all on your own. I'm sorry you are unhappy about having to wait, as most people on this website have had to do. I hope you don't end up in AP at NVC like we did. I had to sit by and watch people who hadn't even met before we filed our peition get approved, while we sat in the black hole at NVC. On a K1. Which had never happened before, and there wasn't even an info on VJ about it. Luck of the draw, I was at the head of the queue for a new process. Lucky me! I didn't heap scorn on people that moved ahead of me, I sucked it up and congratulated them and meant every last word of it. I wished them well. It's what adults do.

Your unhappiness doesn't give you the right to rain on anyone else's parade. Or try and stem their happiness. Or tell them they are allowed to be a little bit happy, but not happy enough to offend you. Or tell them where to post, and where not to.

You are at the beginning of a very long drawn out process, and getting the petition approved is so far from the end of the journey. You have a lot more waiting ahead of you, and you are going to need a thicker skin than you have at present. If people who post happily that they are approved, or getting interview dates, or whatever else upsets you, don't read it. Move on.

While there are people in this world who find great joy in gloating, asking someone to NOT share their news and happiness on a forum that has been created for that purpose (among other things) is equally inconsiderate. Just because someone's timeline is shorter than yours doesn't mean they shouldn't post about it. You don't know... you could be done with your entire process by the time they are with theirs. They could be in AP for months, and Canada doesn't really practice extended AP's. Should people then not be able to post something like "we got our K1 visa in hand just 5 days after interview!" because some countries take months to do that? Put this in perspective. Your response is clear jealousy, and while we all know on here that the TSC sucks right now, that's not the fault of the people who are going through the CSC.

Congrats, OP!! I hope your process continues to go this quickly. NONE of us want to be separated longer than necessary. :)

Full marks to you. This.

I can explain it to you. But I can't understand it for you.

Hi, I completely stumbled across this thread by accident. I have to say, the OP is sooooo excited and nervous at how quickly this has all progressed. I have to say congratulations.

To those who are grumbling about the fact this this case took 3 months when you have been waiting 6 months, well consider this... I married the person I love and have now waited over 12 months to be reunited with him. I would give anything to have my interview in 3 months, but it's not in my control. Yes, I get upset when I see people posting about how they got their case approved and interviews complete in a considerably less time than me, but I know that when I post my notification saying "I'm getting on the plane!!! Woop!!!" that there will be someone out there who has been separated from their spouse for longer than I have. Does that make me a bad person for rubbing it their face? No, I'm on a journey with my husband, and the amazing support network whois visajourney who are all going through the same experience, albeit at different paces. We all have our own unique circumstance and situations.

Sumitop, the biggest of congratulations to you, all the best for the rest of your journey, in fact, ALL of your journeys. May they be speedy and efficient. smiley_tag.0912964001403840372.gif

EDIT: Just for the record, for my CR1 (I-130) visa, the CSC ended up being slower!

i can totally feel from your side. But i do not think every newbie case is a troll case.

Because i joined this forum only after i received my NOA 2 and i was in a bit of confusion because it arrived in a very abnormal time frame.

And it's human nature to share their happiness.

I feel sorry for those who actually log into these forums just to troll people. If that is the case then i wonder what a low-life they do have!!!

Visa approved!!! :)^_^ thank you for the support everyone. It has been a very hard journey, I know how time away from your love can feel like an eternity. The only advice I can give is to follow the step by step guide, be thorough, be PACIENTE, be real, and aquire all necessary documents. I dont know if it helped that I also sent the petition to the address titled first class mail which looked like a different address in texas. I'm overly thankful and so touched the way everyone has made me feel about my sudden, exciting news. I was honestly expecting the process to take up to 15 months and didn't sign up or start posting until after I'd recieved my NOA3. It took me by surprise and I started looking for advice and posting questions as new threads. (Never sure if I was posting in the appropriate place.) I hope everyone waiting are nearing the end of their journey and will be with their other half as soon as possible, Inshallah.
