Once an I-130 is approved it goes to NVC where it is firstly assigned a case number.......see the CR-1 Flowchart HERE

Also have a look at the link to the thread on Timesavers for NVC in my signature.

I noted in your timeline that the I-129F has not been approved yet.......correct?

congrats for yr approval now await yr apporval for I129F

The question I am looking for an answer to is this: now that the I-130 has been approved, will she be allowed to get her visa? Or do we still have to wait for the I-129F to be approved also?

Could someone answer this question? With the I-130 approved, do we still have to wait for the I-129 to be approved, before she can come home?

Once the I-130 is approved it still has to go through a process at the NVC this can take quite some time, you might find that your I-129f has been appoved soon.

The I-129f only stays at the NVC for a little while before it is sent to the embassy for the processing and the sending of your pack 3 which contains your medical exam directions and forms to fill in.

Your wife cannot go to the states to live just because she has an approved visa she has to have a medical and a interview.

No........She can do the CR-1 visa which will give her the green card and no AOS once in the US. If you look at the links I mentioned in my first post it will give you an idea on the process at NVC with the flowchart and there is link in my signature to save time at NVC. Whilst this stage takes longer then an I-129F would it can be completed fairly fast depending on how quick you get things to them once generated. By doing both you are covering your bases..and you need the I-130 for the K-3 anyway in order to adjust status. You also then have the option if you do get an apporval of the I-129F and she enters the US on they K-3, to go back to the embassy to do CR-1 as opposed to the AOS on the K-3 which can save a big lot of time. That does depend on your finances though in order to do that. Many on here enter the US on the K-3 and return to the embassy once the I-130 is complete at NVC and they have an interview date.
