Hey guys!

So having completed my AOS and I-751 without any hiccups, of course I would begin having problems with my naturalization (based on 3 year marriage rule).

My N-400 NOA date is April 10, 2014. I never received any other notice after my NOA, including no biometrics appointment until now (and no updates other than case receipt on the online case status update).

I called USCIS 1st time on May 31. Tier 2 officer told me to wait up to 90 days for biometrics appointment. Uhh, no, it doesnt take anyone 3 months to receive a biometrics appointment.

So I call USCIS a 2nd time on June 16, now they tell me I had been scheduled for biometrics for May 29, and they dont know why I never got the letter. Tier 2 officer puts in a request for the office to reschedule me and says I should a receive a new appointment.

Well, today, June 25, I receive a letter saying "We researched the status of your case. Please make an Infopass appointment and bring any documents which support your case."

Of course there are no Infopass appointment available and I have no clue what to expect.

I wanted to know if anyone was in a similar situation and if they had any idea why this isnt flowing smoothly.

Thanks, you guys are awesome.

I'm sorry you are having these issues. I can't really help with any advice on what's happening to you but I tried to schedule an infopass and was having difficulties like you are having now. Wait until after 7 pm and try again. It helped me. I think they open new appointments in the evening.

Clearly the USCIS has issues sending the letters as it seems like many people have the same problem. Hope it gets solved soon! Boa sorte!

I would suggest that you call USCIS and ask tier2 officer if the new appointment has been scheduled. If yes then ask him to send a fax of the appointment.

I wasn't in same situation but kind if similar. I never revived my FP notice and thanks God I called them and the IO faxed over the FP notice. To my surprise the appointment was only couple of days away. I had to call few times as the first officer wouldn't transfer me over to tier2 and I had to try almost 4-5 times.

You are right it never takes 3 months to get FP appointment. When some one applies for n400 he/she should pay close attention to the timeline and look at other applicants. If something is not right call them and ask for clarification.

Thanks for the help guys!

I was actually able to make a last minute Infopass appointment for today (I guess someone cancelled), and they had mailed my biometrics notice to my incomplete address (apt number was missing) so thats why I didnt receive it. Its weird because my NOA arrived ok to the correct address (with the apt number), I guess they just manually type the address in the biometrics notice so thats why it was wrongly mailed.

But I was able to already get them done at the office today! So back to waiting for interview...
