EAD/AP combo card with separate address

Hello,

When I filed for my adjustment of status, EAD, and AP, my lawyer put a different address for the EAD and the AP due to the fact that I'm on vacation at my wife's family's house in California (I normally live in Texas) and hope to receive the AP here, rather than my Texas home, to travel to my family in Brazil who I haven't seen in years as the next part of my trip

I recently got the EAD expedited and am hoping it will come as an AP combo card. However, since I have a different address on the EAD and AP, I worry that the two will be separated. Does anyone know how this will work?

Thank you in advance

The EAD card is a combination of EAD/AP. I am curious however which address it would be sent to. I am going to take a wild guess and say the address on the EAD.

Good luck.

The EAD card is a combination of EAD/AP.

The EAD is not automatically a combination card of the EAD and AP.

OP > If a different address was used for each one, then you may receive separate EAD and AP documents. A combo card is typically issued when you file them together, but they do still issue separate EAD and AP documents. You will just have to wait and see. Let us know if they give you a combo card, even when using different addresses for each form.

Q3. How do I receive the EAD and Advance Parole card?

A3. You may receive this card when you file an Application for Employment Authorization, Form I-765, and an Application for Travel Document, Form I-131, concurrently with or after filing an Application to Register Permanent Residence or Adjust Status, Form I-485. You must file the Forms I-765 and I-131 at the same time in order to receive an EAD and Advance Parole card. Please ensure that you enter your name and address identically on Forms I-765 and I-131 that you file concurrently in order to receive the new card.

Thank you all for your replies. It turned out that they sent the combo card to my AP address, which doesn't make sense but was fortunate.
