"IF THE BENEFICIARY PLANS TO ADJUST STATUS PLEASE TELL US BEFORE TAKING ANY FURTHER ACTION".

Hi everyone, that's what item #2 said in our letter from the NVC which arrived by email today, and I don't know what it means in the context of an IR-1 visa.

Once my Wife of 5 years and my Stepdaughter (17 years old) get here is there some sort of adjustment of status needed that I'm not understanding?

This email came as a notification that NVC had our case, and to pay the 88 dollar affadavit of support fee online. My Wife also got her form 261 notice today by email and so I am wondering about this "adjustment of status" comment by the NVC that was written in my letter, and certainly don't want to take any action online before I asked you guys..

Tx!
