Looks like I'll be waiting 5-6 months just for EAD?

I sometimes think people expect to much to fast, this whole process takes time and

not everybodys application(s) are identical. So, just be patient and if your doing

everything correctly it will work its way through the system. Good Luck!

Just recently had this.

RFE was for something with my taxes in regards to I-864 on the I-485 application or something. It was weird to get since I sent them my tax transcripts for the past 3 years. Anyway, RFE I think was on May 5th and biometrics May 8th. The only application online that said RFE was the 485. Neither the AP or EAD application ever said RFE awaiting response. Anyway, I replied within 2 days of receiving the RFE. EAD combo card arrived this past weekend even though AP is still pending.

Does your EAD say RFE or is it your I-485 document?

An RFE pauses all cases. It doesn't matter what it was for. The issue is the OP is wanting an EAD in 2 months when it takes 3 months.

Ok so I've made a topic about this a few days back, but basically I applied for AOS back in April, it was received by USCIS on the 21st, I got my NOA1, and then had my Biometrics appointment in May and I actually got an RFE just before my appointment (Don't worry, I still went to my biometrics). Now, I only managed to gather up the paperwork and send back the RFE last week, I had USPS tracking and it was delivered on June 13th, now since then i've had absolutely no indication that USCIS is moving on with my case, the online tracking still says the usual "We sent an RFE on DATE: which is the RFE I mailed back. Now I did call USCIS on the 1-800 number yesterday and I was told it can take up to 60 days for them to process the RFE and update tracking? Does this mean I could be waiting a total of 5-6 months just for my EAD card??

06/23/2014....Got "ARTF" Service Request letter. Expect to receive decision or NOA within 60 days of 06/19/2014 (day 83)

06/29/2014....Scheduled infopass appointment for 07/14/2014 (day 89)

06/30/2014....Service Request on "Beyond Regulatory Time Frame"(BRTF). Expect notification within 5 days (day 90)

07/02/2014....Mailed appointment notice for interview for August 7, 2014 (day 92)

07/08/2014....Received hard copy of appointment notice for interview (day 98)

07/08/2014....Got "BRTF" Service Request letter. Expect to receive decision or NOA within 60 days of 07/02/2014 (day 98)

07/14/2014....skipped infopass appointment (day 104)

07/16/2014....EAD mailed to my address. USPS picked up EAD from USCIS at 2:01pm. Expected delivery, 7/18/2014! (day 106)

07/18/2014....EAD in mail. Online status updated for delivery (day 108) :dancing:

07/21/2014....Applied for SSN at SSA. Will receive card within 2 weeks (day 111)

07/22/2014....Received SSN from SSA, while I wait to receive card (day 112) :dancing:

07/23/2014....Resumed at my new job (day 113) :dancing:

07/26/2014....SSC in mail (day 116) :dancing:

Only 485 says RFE, EAD is just initial review, honestly the only reason I'm getting worried is because I tracked it as delivered on the 13th and it's not moved to RFE review yet

Keep calm. My RFE has been in review since May 2. And still no update or response. I guess all we can do is be patient. I still haven't gotten my EAD either

06/12/09 We met in Atlanta Georgia

12/30/09 became a couple ??

Only 485 says RFE, EAD is just initial review, honestly the only reason I'm getting worried is because I tracked it as delivered on the 13th and it's not moved to RFE review yet

It may never move to RFE review, because the online system is extremely unreliable. It is not even truly attached to your case, it is rather an afterthought, that sometimes updates and sometimes does not. Don't ascribe any meaning to it.

Any one got info for me please? I scheduled an infopass appointment but my computer acted up while trying to print the letter. Now I got a copy of the letter without the PIN displayed. Will they allow me in with this edition of the letter?
