i-485 Status "ready for interview" unchanged for 8 weeks. Normal?

Hello All,

My status for I-485 has been the same for 8 weeks. No change and no letter received to schedule interview OR waiver. Has me a little worried that something has gotten lost in the mail. Does anyone know it it's normal to sit in this status for many weeks or months?

It depends on how long your local office takes to schedule you for an interview. If you are at a slow office, it may take longer - a friend of mine waited 5 months for her interview letter after her status had changed online (this was at the OKC office).

So yes, it is normal.

Thanks for the replies and assurance this is normal. My field office is Portland, Oregon. They seem to be really behind and just now processing October 2013.

Long wait ahead but at least combo card is in hand.
