Hello Guys!

We (Me and K2 daughter) are about to file for our Adjustment of Status. Im here to know of things that I need and accomplish like what documents we need to fill out, what supporting documents do we need for this process. I already printed out some forms that I saw on here.

I also have few questions...

* Do I really have to file the Advance Parole with my AOS when we really don't have any plans of traveling anytime soon...

* Do I have to fill out form I-693 when in fact my medical examination results are not expired yet. I have DS-3025 from St. Lukes Medical Center

Hope you guys could enlighten me with this one...

Thanks.

When TWO HEARTS are meant for each other, NO DISTANCE is TOO FAR... NO TIME is TOO LONG... and NO OTHER LOVE can BREAK THEM APART...

Hi there! VJ guides for adjusting from K1 and K2 here:

http://www.visajourney.com/content/k1k3aos

http://www.visajourney.com/content/k1aos

http://www.visajourney.com/content/k2-visa-adjustment-of-status-tips

Example forms: http://www.visajourney.com/content/examples

For the forms, always download them from the uscis site for the updated versions.

Like EAD, AP is only optional. But since GC approval takes about 6-12 months as of late, it is highly advisable to file for both EAD and AP since the fees for these are waived anyways. and some people just apply for it just in case of emergencies. But it's really up to you.

I-693 is not necessary if you have completed the medical within the year prior to your AOS filing and all the necessary vaccines were given during the medical. For my case, I only submitted a copy of my DS-3025 from SLEC too.

Edit: Here's a very helpful post from Nich-Nick for you to check if you still need to see a civil surgeon for the I-693: http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/428381-i-693-report-of-medical-examination-and-vaccination-report/#entry6206232

Can I ask what supporting documentations I should have in filing for the AOS and supporting documents for the affidavit of support.

Can I ask what supporting documentations I should have in filing for the AOS and supporting documents for the affidavit of support.

All supporting documentations for AOS are listed in the guides, linked in my post above, sis. Or you can check out the I-485 instructions: http://www.uscis.gov/sites/default/files/files/form/i-485instr.pdf

- The VJ guides provided a good summary of the requirements though.

For the I-864, you need to submit your petitioner's most recent tax return 1040, W2 and/or 1099, or you can simply use the ITR tax transcript: http://www.irs.gov/Individuals/Get-Transcript

I-864 nstructions here for more info: http://www.uscis.gov/sites/default/files/files/form/i-864instr.pdf

For my case, I also included my husband's employment certificate and most recent pay stubs for the last 6 months. These two are only optional though.

Wedding pictures is not part of the requirements for AOS applicants adjusting from K1. However, it is not a bad idea either, so you can opt to submit some if you want to.
