Saw an interesting thing on Google. On their main complex it contains modern gyms to work out, Free food, and not just crappy unhealthy food, but of great quality and good for you, and for the mostt part flexibale hours. I belive it was rated one of the best, if not the best place to work for 2006

Canadians Visiting the USA while undergoing the visa process, my free advice:

1) Always tell the TRUTH. never lie to the POE officer

2) Be confident in ur replies

3) keep ur response short and to the point, don't tell ur life story!!

4) look the POE officer in the eye when speaking to them. They are looking for people lieing and have been trained to find them!

5) Pack light! No job resumes with you

6) Bring ties to Canada (letter from employer when ur expected back at work, lease, etc etc)

7) Always be polite, being rude isn't going to get ya anywhere, and could make things worse!!

8) Have a plan in case u do get denied (be polite) It wont harm ur visa application if ur denied, that is if ur polite and didn't lie! Refer to #1

my hubby gets great bonuses, and we were taken to Dallas for the weekend and put up in a posh hotel for the company Christmas party. They also pay 85% of our health insurance, and they give extra holiday days off. Not bad for a small company.

My company matches my 401K contribution by half up to 6 percent of my salary.

3 weeks vacation after 5 years.

We close down from about the 23rd of December until January 2nd in addition to the standard holidays off (Easter, 4th of July, Memorial Day, Thanksgiving, etc).

Gives out bonuses around February, although I'm worried they won't have money this year.

I don't want any 'unusual' perks. All I want is money and the freedom to do my job without micromanagement by clueless managerial fukcs.

I don't have that right now so I am leaving soon. My next employer won't have any 'unusual' perks but they will have more money and hopefully the manager won't be a biotch but time will tell.

ETA: My last employer gave out bonuses as large as 25% of base pay. Those were the days!

This one reminds me of my friend whose company has a vending machine at the office filled with beer instead of soda.
