Hi everyone Im am new here, and really neede alot of help.

My problem is the following on May the 27 I filed for an Adjustment of Status and sent forms I-485, I-131 and form I-765 with two money orders one of the amounts on one of them was $985 and the other was $85 after waiting some time i received 2 text messages from the USCIS each one receipt number one for the I-131 form and the other was for the I-485 and today a week later after the txts i received three letter 2 were the printed receipt case numbers but the third one concerned me because its a letter saying"Recently, you submitted an application for immigration benefits. That form was submitted with an extra remittance that is not required to process your application. Your check is being returned to you with this notice. No additional action by you is required at this time."it does not say that any of the forms i submitted were rejected and and the letter also contaid both money orders I am confused and need advice on two things

1. Does this mean my case has been rejected, and if not why did the USCIS send me both money orders.

2.should I be worried that I did not receive a 3rd letter or txt with the I-765 receipt case number?

I am already thankful just enough to the peeople who will take the time to read this and alot more to the people who are willing to help.

You did not send any unnecessary fees for the I-765 and I-131 did you? Strange because the 2 money orders adding up to $1070 should be fine and others have sent 2 money orders before without issue. Perhaps someone mistakenly thought you sent in a fee for one of the other forms. Wait and see what the actual letter says, and what they returned to you. You may need to call and ask to speak to a tier 2 immigration officer or make an Infopass appointment at your local USCIS office to get the mix-up straightened out.
