Vermont Service Center is not processing K-1 visa petitions (I-129F) anymore.

I didn't even know they stopped. Our was processed at VSC.

If I am following this thread correctly, and if Vermont is not currently processing K1 visa applications, am I to understand that the TSC will process our I-129 K1 visa application, issue a NOA2 (hoping for no RFE of course) and then the next step will be the TSC sending the approved application to the consulate in Malaysia (where my fiancee is)? The Vermont center will not be the next step? I was always thinking the TSC would approve, then send to Vermont, then Vermont send to Malaysia. I'd love to hear from a senior member on this to know if I've got it right. Thanks much. To clarify, the application started at TSC and is there now. February filer.

No VSC has nothing to do with you. Or most of us for that matter. But it seems that this may be the beginning of a trend of petitions being forwarded from TSC to VSC. That's what we're trying to confirm.

OP, you just now posted about this but the actual transfer date was back in April? If so, I don't like that, cuz that means VSC is not processing these expeditiously & makes me wonder if all the time these forwarded petitions spent at TSC was truly just a waste. --All purely speculation on my part.

I think you are confusing the NVC (national visa center) with the VSC (Vermont service Center). VSC used to be a location, like CSC and TSC, that worked on K1 petitions. (there's speculation that it may be starting to do that again) ALL approved K1 petitions go to the NVC to then be shipped out to embassies all over the world. So your petition should go from TSC to NVC to Malaysia.

Yes, you are exactly right. I was confusing the Vermont center with the National center. Thanks very much for clearing that up for me. I think I've got it now.

This is like the 3rd within the month that has been saying they've been transferred to Vermont from Texas. I'm beginning to wonder too if they are planning to re-open VSC for I-129fs, due to the horrendous backlog in TSC? Hhhhmmmm...

I am also wondering about this now. Will keep an eye on it. Shuffle them from the VSC to the TSC and then back to the VSC because of backlog. Ahh, the USCIS is so efficient.
