Okay Two questions today!!!! Isn't this fun?

#1 My Husband said he doesn't EVER keep his W2 (at this point I considered ringing his neck.. jokes) What do I do? Is there anyway to get them? (are they like what T4's are in Canada?)

#2 Okay on all my K-1 Visa paperwork when asked when I would live once I moved to Montana I put my husbands parents address (where he was residing at the time) Now that I am here and married we have got our own place of course! Do I need to file something in order to tell them I am living at this new place before I file for AOS? Or can I just put the new addres on all my AOS paperwork?

Thank in Advance for your Brillance.

Heather

Duplicate W2's can be obtained from the employer who issued them.... it is not a good idea to toss them out... much safer to kep them for a few years...

Kez

Oh I know! it's a good thing he has a wife to take care of him now :D

Thanks for the help. I'll get him to check with his employer

I was reading about the same form last night and I remembered that you don't need to submit W-2 if you can get the IRS transcript.

This is straight out of I-864.

"If you provide a photocopy of your tax return(s), you must include a copy of each and every Form W-2 and Form 1099 that relates to your return(s). Do not include copies of these Forms if you provide an IRS transcript of your return(s) rather than a photocopy."

Call IRS and ask them for these transcript for free.
