Hi everyone,

It has been a long time since I posted on here. I am interested in finding out other people's experience on this topic. My husband and I are being posted to Egypt - my employment is with a US-based NGO. My husband is already in Egypt since he was able to find employment there. My husband is the green card holder originally from Morocco. He is still on his two-year conditional card, and this expires in October 2007, so we will need to apply to lift the conditions in June or July I believe. I realize this may be a very tricky situation. Our plans are to return to the US within the next three years. We do not know what kinds of implications there are for this kind of situation and I'm interested to know if anyone else has had experience with this kind of situation. This was an opportunity we could not pass up and were agreed that we would deal with whatever implications came up with his green card, but are hopeful that maybe it will work out.

Anyone have any advice or experiences they could share?

Thanks so much, and best for 2007 to everyone on here.
