Do I need to send birth certificate?

Hi

I had my surname changed by deed poll 10 years ago. My Mum and Dad split when I was very young and she remarried and wanted me to have her name. Rather than my Step Dad adopting me (Which no one agreed to) She changed it legally.

When my Fiance sends off the I-129F I am aware that I need to send the deed poll forms to him but would it be an idea to include my birth certificate too? Seeing as it shows proof of my name before it was changed?
