Can we move somewhere other than the "Address in the United States where your relative intends to live?"

On the I-130 (which has recently been approved) I stated that the intended address would be my parents house. To be perfectly honest, we would only move there as a last resort. While we have their permission, and they will most likely be a joint sponsor with us, if my wife lands a job in her preferred area (very likely), we would be moving to a different state right off the bat.

Is this OK? Should we inform anyone of this before we get too far into the process? I guess I'm just worrying about possible questions during the interview/NVC stage that could raise eyebrows. We obviously want to be honest with everything and have nothing to hide.

Absolutely.

on the DS-260 the beneficary will again be asked where they intend to live.

And at POE you can also update the address.

Also after moving to the USA, if you move again, the petitioner and any joint sponsors must update their address within 30 days with an I-865. The beneficiary also must update their address with an AR-11 with 10 days.

Hi,

Not a problem.

You are only stating your intention to live there. You are not making a commitment that requires you to live there.

The reason for giving an address is that is where USCIS will contact you after the immigrant enters the US. USCIS needs to know where to send the green card.

Thank you both for the replies. One less thing to worry about for now.
