No problem. There are also those who find offensive wearing other parts of traditional native dress, largely because of the systematic oppression suffered by the first nations people at the hands of other races. Because a great deal of native culture was lost, stolen or destroyed by the oppressors, so seeing a white person wearing a fringed deerskin dress with traditional beadwork, for example, is like a kick in the teeth.

Met in 2010 on a forum for a mutual interest. Became friends.
2011: Realized we needed to evaluate our status as friends when we realized we were talking about raising children together.

2011/2012: Decided we were a couple sometime in, but no possibility of being together due to being same sex couple.

June 26, 2013: DOMA overturned. American married couples ALL have the same federal rights at last! We can be a family!

June-September, 2013: Discussion about being together begins.

November 13, 2013: Meet in person to see if this could work. It's perfect. We plan to elope to Boston, MA.

March 13, 2014 Married!

May 9, 2014: Petition mailed to USCIS

May 12, 2014: NOA1.
October 27, 2014: NOA2. (5 months, 2 weeks, 1 day after NOA1)
October 31, 2014: USCIS ships file to NVC (five days after NOA2) Happy Halloween for us!

November 18, 2014: NVC receives our case (22 days after NOA2)

December 17, 2014: NVC generates case number (50 days after NOA2)

December 19, 2014: Receive AOS bill, DS-261. Submit DS-261 (52 days after NOA2)

December 20, 2014: Pay AOS Fee

January 7, 2015: Receive, pay IV Fee

January 10, 2015: Complete DS-260

January 11, 2015: Send AOS package and Civil Documents
March 23, 2015: Case Complete at NVC. (70 days from when they received docs to CC)

May 6, 2015: Interview at Montréal APPROVED!

May 11, 2015: Visa in hand! One year less one day from NOA1.

I can understand taking offense toward someone who is deliberately trying to offend. For example, it would be considered offensive for a Japanese tour group to wear t-shirts with the word "boom" on the front and Pearl Harbor in flames on the back. Conversely, it may be considered offensive if an American wore the same sort of t-shirt to Nagasaki with boom on the front and a mushroom cloud on the back. It would probably be considered a deliberate attempt to spike the football if you will. But, at the same time, why not just let it happen? How far along would the wearer of such shirts get before crowds beat the tar out of them? History happens. We cannot change it because an outcome is offensive to someone. The world needs to grow some thicker skin and accept that utopia is a nice dream, but will always be just that. A dream.

Great explanation once again.

It's a political forum. There's no cover here. Just the BS spewed from the ones you disagree with.

Whatever you say pal.

I wanted a simple question answer without a lot of racist BS.

Thankfully Not a Tailor supplied an answer.

All you have done is to try and add to your lame political agenda .

I have requested that the mods close this thread.

Take your anti-Japanese hatred elsewhere , thank you. Create your own thread.

You opened a thread wearing your agenda on your sleeve and got called on it. Now your fangs come out. I honestly don't mind that you are trying to offend me. I am okay that my skin is thicker than yours.

This thread is closed at the OP's request.

If it had not been requested to be closed, a warning to stop non-constructive and baiting commentary trying to promote racial controversy would have been posted.

“...Isn't it splendid to think of all the things there are to find out about? It just makes me feel glad to be alive--it's such an interesting world. It wouldn't be half so interesting if we knew all about everything, would it? There'd be no scope for imagination then, would there?”
