Also in my experience, i would contact your local house representative instead of your state senator. They are more apt to help you quicker.

A "State Senator" cannot assist you. Contact your US Congressman or the senior US Senator that represents your state. In my experience, the Senior Senator gets more attention from USCIS than a Congressman who has to be re-elected every two years. However, you may well get faster action from, or find a more local office for, your Congressman.

That is precisely what I meant by state senator. I should have clarified, contacting one of the US Senators that represents your state, in this case Marco Rubio for me. I did contact his office and they can absolutely help you by inquiring about your case. However the US congressman from my district (Who is up for re-election this year) moved much quicker and there in lies my point. He is up for re-election this fall and you bet your butt he moved quick on it because of that reason. He wants to be re-elected. I sent in my NOA-1 to my reps office last monday, so they could follow up with USCIS and I received my NOA-2 by friday! They moved MUCH quicker for me.

Which politician can be of most assistance will depend on the circumstances and what kind of help is needed.

The issue, however, is not what you meant but what the words you actually wrote, meant. That's why I clarified for you.

Well, got the email this morning that my case was sent to NVC. Did my service request or senator request have an effect? I have no idea. Maybe it was just the wrong stock message sent out in the first place. Thanks for the extra stress USCIS! Thank you guys for all of your input.

Filing an I-130 for a spouse Question 22 SHOULD NOT BE BLANK. If your spouse is out of the U.S. (like mine) Question 22 should be answered on the right hand side the location of the embassy in which they will have their interview for the visa. If that is in fact what you filled out then this is NOT your fault and should be worked out with them.

Question 22 states that you are to fill it out if your spouse is eligible for adjustment of status and then below it to the right it states: "If your relative is NOT eligible for adjustment of status, he or she will apply for a visa abroad at the American consular post in: and you are to write the location of the embassy in which the interview will take place.

I suggest you continue to follow up

Also in my experience, i would contact your local house representative instead of your state senator. They are more apt to help you quicker.

There is no specific requirement regarding question 22, that if not met, will cause a problem (RFE or delay). However, USCIS can make a mistake regardless of whether you complete question 22 according to the best practices.

Looks like in this case they simply pushed the wrong button, selecting the wrong text for the email, but DID push the right button or put the file in the right stack to be forwarded to NVC.
