we are not sure we did this the right way. this is how we did it?

1. K1 created a ustraveldoc account at https://cgifederal.secure.force.com/applicanthome

2. fills out all info.

3. after the VISA Class step (K1), it says Dependents and she adds our baby and inputs her info

4. on payment screen, she inputs both BPI payments receipts for her and the baby.

5. the system accepts both receipts.

but we notice every time we log in https://cgifederal.secure.force.com/applicanthome it shows 2 options: K1 and K2 (Child of K1).

does our baby have to go through all the steps that her mother went on the same login? as if to create a new account just for the baby?

we thought all she had to do is add our baby as a dependent and then enter her receipt number. is that correct? this so confusing.

Are you the father? If yes then you have a whole different process to complete as the baby is a USC and can not get a visa. You must complete CRBA.

If you are not the biological father then the baby has to complete the interview process also (so make sure to grab two appointments). Being a baby the requirements are slightly different as to what documents are required by the embassy.

And for CFO the baby needs only to be registered to get the sticker.
