Hi all!

My fiance and I just wanted to thank everyone on VisaJourney for the help and support throughout this tricky, stressful process. Last Friday we received our interview date from the U.S. Embassy in Phnom Penh. October 6th!!!!! Goodness it seems so far away. I guess the Embassy is a bit backed up. Is anyone else's date this far away?

At any rate, this morning I just booked my ticket so I can be there for his interview. We've been saving like crazy to make this happen, and we definitely couldn't have gotten this far without everyone on this amazing site. So, thank you all so much. Still sending prayers and blessings to all our Journeys. 108 days to find out if ours will finally be (sort of) over.

Love and Peace

Congrats and good luck. My husband (then-fiance) came to my interview and that was nice to share to experience with him and handled the nervous prior the interview. In fact, we both got congratulated from the consular officer.

This is great news for both of you! I do not mean to be a "wet blanket".,..,but I have read here many times, the No. 1 rule, "Never buy an airline ticket, until you have a visa in hand".,.., there is just too many things that can go wrong!

We have read it here so many times. I went to Cebu, Phils. the last week of Jan. 2013, after my bride, she failed the physical, I did not get her out of there until April 24, 2013!

I believe in the this unwritten rule, never buy a ticket unilt you have a visa in hand!!!!!

Sorry! I should've said, the ticket is for me to attend the interview. We haven't bought anything for my fiance yet, following VJ guidelines to wait till we have the visa in hand. :)

Thank you so much for your support everyone!!!!!!
