Hi everyone!

I have a pretty specific problem that I'm hoping someone will be able to help with!

My wife is Italian and we're both currently living in Italy, while we wait for our I-130 to be approved. I found a job teaching English here, but it would require me to change my residence from the USA, to here.

I'm wondering what I would need to do in order change my residence and avoid any delay in our application. If this means that we will have to completely refile, then it really isn't worth. I'm hoping there is an easier solution!

Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks so much!

I don't know how to help you but just in case ask if you can just have your residency in the USA and have your "domicilio" where you need to. There's a little difference between those 2 in Italy and MAYBE that could solve your problem. Other than that, I know nothing and I'll wait for more knowledgeable people.
Good luck with your journey :)

You can search on this forum, I remember reading here on some thread that u have to keep your house in USA and other things that prove that you have not disconnect from back home. Then to prove u need to right to USCIS explaining your case and what step u have taken too keep the domicile.

It's pretty much impossible to change your address abroad. I would get your mail forwarded if possible.

If you were both living in Italy at the time of filing, I'm unsure why you didn't just use your Italian address to begin with?
