Hi I'm planning to expedite the case of my wife and daughter at NVC stage. my wife and daughter got an NOA2 already and it was sent by USCIS to NCV 6/18/2014. My question is can i request an expedite to NVC without any case number? Or can you expedite if NVC just receive your case? I heard that some people can expedite as soon as NVC receive your case, and it would be an advantage since they will check you case and they can assign a case number right away, is this true?

What is the reason for the expedite?

Just requesting it does not make the case go faster. You have to have a valid reason.

I have a valid reason and a personal reason. The main question is am i able to request an expedite without a case number or our case just receive in NVC?

So...you get NOA2 within 17 days while everyone else has been waiting months with still no NOA 2...and now you want to expedite...as others have said...serious illness, death or other extenuating circumstances...you can find the qualifications to expedite on the USEM website. Since your IR1 went through so quickly, it's possible that your case is flagged for expediting??? NVC issues case numbers (now) within about a week. Just call them.
