What kind of job is it?

Better to search on google the possible questions regarding job.I remember when i tried for teller position when i came to US,i passed three interviews 1 on phone two face to face by just googling possible questions and preparing them in advance.Even i passed the interview with area manager, but i think i did not get job because they did my credit check,i did not have any credit history in US at that time.

You need to show confidence in all replies and be honest.I got job in sales after qualifying two interviews, they were all 45 min long and detailed.

Dress professionally and answer with smile and confidence.

I agree with this, most of the time dressing professionally is a very big thing. Make sure your resume looks professional, no misspellings. Be excited and confident and try not to stutter a lot during the interview. Good luck :D

Hi everyone,

Thank you for all the feedback.

I had the interview today and it went well.

They asked me when can I start working.

They said that they will call me on Thursday and asked me to come on Friday for the orientation, the orientation itself will be for a week. They didn't talk

about salary though.

Does that mean they will hire me?

If they are asking you to come in for orientation, then they should hire you. No idea why they didn't tell you how much they'd be paying you, I thought the acceptance package thing comes before orientation and you only do orientation IF you accept and are about to start working for them.

Then again, it might be different in your field... I don't know.

I think I will have the answer on Friday then will have the orientation after signing papers.

Sounds like they hired you, but I would call the hiring manager/HR to ask about when they can discuss your compensation and benefits. That will need to be negotiated before you start anything at the company, including orientation. If it's an hourly job, maybe it was listed on the job application?

Hmm. Something seems off here. What sort of job did you apply for? (I know several people have asked and you haven't replied. People are asking because there are scams that look like jobs, and run an awful lot like these "come in for orientation" type things without actually being hired, etc.)

I did ask because I wanted to know what type of jobs immigrants easily get hired on. I wasn't doubting if your job is a scam or what. In fact I am genuinely happy to see your post because this is a positive one as compared to the other threads where people are really having a hard time looking for a job. What I didn't expect is that you don't seem to want to share even just the nature of the job. People in this forum are very generous with information that will help each other. You asked for advice and people gave it to you without hesitations. I was kind of hoping you extend the same courtesy on people who ask you a very basic query. But never mind, I’m just airing my thoughts here. Anyways, good luck on your new job and it’s a good thing that you are already enjoying.

You didn't mention that you wanted to know "what type of jobs immigrants easily get hired" because this thread is only asked the suggestions from people who have had the experience so I feel like I don't need to put the job detail in my thread because my question was about do & don't in an interview generally.

If you have question related to jobs you may want to start a new thread so other people could also help and I will will be happy to share it in your thread :)
