Can I send the whole taxes in instead of the Transcript?

I've been having trouble ordering the transcript online and don't want to wait 5-10 days as we've already waited long enough to send the thing. Can I just photocopy the taxes from 2013 (the whole thing) and send them like that? Please let me know. Thanks.

You don't need to order your transcripts anymore as you can just download them and print them now. There is no wait, you can do it as quickly as you can download them.

To answer your question, you can send in your complete taxes, including ALL forms, schedules, W2s, etc.

Is sending in the whole thing frowned upon though, or is it just as valuable as sending in the transcript? I'm having some difficulty downloading and printing them out, because the questions they ask to verify my identity keep stumping me.

The transcrips are preferred over the actual form. You can download the transcripts on line. check out thislink: http://www.irs.gov/Individuals/Get-Transcript

Good luck!

No one has ever been denied for sending the complete taxes rather than the transcripts. You can also call and have them mailed to you. You used to be able to fax a request, but I no longer see that option.

We sent photocopies of our returns. They didn't RFE asking for transcripts and granted our petition (I-751).

It doesn't matter how you provide your tax information: either the tax return transcripts OR a complete copy of your tax return.

No, it is not frowned upon. You can send either your complete tax return or an IRS transcript. The transcript just tends to be less pages and you do not have worry about whether or not you provided everything needed to make the tax return complete. The USCIS is fine about it either way and do not state they prefer the transcript.
