CR1 - CONDITIONAL SPOUSE OF U.S. CITIZEN

Can someone please help me out with this?

I put my father and mother as sponsors, obliviously i made the mistake because i make enough to support my wife myself but i though it would look good if i had more on there. Here is the problem. On the line 11 on I-864A for each year i entered what each parent made, copied what was on w2 form for each of them. When i called NVC last night ( was on the hold for an hour) i talked to a person there and she said i made mistake because they fill taxes jointly so putting down what was on W2 was not correct number i have to put numbers that they bout make together..total from 1040... did anyone else have this problem? Now i have to fill it all out again and wait another month for processing :(

I got checklist for I864A too. I was wondering if you just sent the revised I864A or both 864 and 864A? thanks..

Well when I called NVC first time I spoke to lady that started talking to me in Spanish even tho I pressed 1 for English. Had hard time understanding what she was saying and the end I asked her if I should fill the whole application again and she said "yes sir". If you call you will be waiting on the line for minimum 30 min. I did prepare everything again but called again and got really nice lady on the phone who told me what mistakes I made on I864a and what I need to change. She said send only what is on the checklist. On I864A make sure u don't leave anything blank for example if you put down mailing address and left place of residence blank you would get checklist. So N/A on everything that don't apply. I ended up sending whole application I sent I864 and whole supporting evidence hopefully they accept it that way :(

Okay if you make enough why did you send the joint sponsors?

If you feel you need it, then bring that to the interview, don't send it to the NVC.

You don't send just the one page either, you have to send the entire form again, but only joint sponsor's I-864 and I-864a.

I don't know why I just thought it would look good and my wife would have a better chance to get the visa. I know I made a mistake but now all the paperwork was in the process so I figured I better send it again. They ask you for household number which includes my parents and me. I filled I-864A for each of them. The instructions on that checklist are confusing, at least for me.I prepared everything like I was starting all over again for I-864 and I-864A and all the evidence hopefully NVC does not send it back to me again. I found later that they are only looking for those corrections on I-864A :(
