Hello guys!

Well after a very long process for the last couple of months leading to the Consulare interview...I was denied :(

The reason for it, was because my parents took me to the US when I was very very young, and I left willingly at age 19...I never knew there was a certain time to leave after turning 18 or I would be inadmissible...when I left the US I had no intention if marrying my current fiancé and when I sought out information I was told it would not affect me since I was never stopped by border patrol or had any issues with the law....well today in my interview, the officer asked me when I left and all kinds of questions about my recent entries and on a little notepad she was doing some math...for what!0? To determine for sure at what age I left....so long story short....I was denied for being in the US illegally but it wasn't all bad news. She gave me a paper with the option to apply for the waiver...so I'm wondering if anyone has had this issue and how you went about the next step? She did not return any of the papers I submitted so I'm not sure what to do? I know I have to submit for I-601 but after that, I have no clue? Should I get an attorney?

Any information is very much appreciated!

I did my waiver without an attorney, however, there is a lot putting evidence together for hardships, so some can do without attorney and some cant. if you go over to website immigrate2us.net they have a lot of templates and example letters, good luck.

Im sorry to hear that they denied you. You can check exactly what a waiver should be done at inmigrate2 and also find a lot of info in the waiver forum here... I think a lot of people can do it without a lawyer... but someone who is in that process can give you a better advise. Is it posible for your fiancee to visit you in Mexico meanwhile??? Hope you can be together soon !!!! Blessings!!!!

I love you Charles forever!!

Do a free consult, research and get an understanding if U cannot

afford a waiver atty, You have no criminal record or misrep (I think) so

go for it , ask questions in the forum, ignore negatives, It will be a

lot of paper work, put together school records, letters from teachers

and ppl who knew U , stress your hardships, in living in a place U do

not know, get crime stats , and educational concerns about your country,

your parents should write hardship letters Y U R needed in the US to

help them and Y they cant move back to your country, also address the

fact U were taken there as a child and left voluntary on your own.

Thank you everyone!

I have not had any criminal records ever in the US or in Mexico and my fiancee is currently enrolled in a 4 year university and she still has 2 more years to go, plus she wants to persue her masters degree after that.

Another reason, is that I live in one of the most dangerous cities in Mexico City and I have been robbed multiple times and fear that one day we will be robbed while she visits me.

Also she gets really sick every time she comes to Mexico and I believe it is because of the water that is not and when she was really young, she used to get psychological treatment for anxiety attacks. She still gets those attacks and I fear that she may have an attack here in Mexico if something were to happen.

I was found inadmissible for the 3 year ban and have no crimal or previous immagration records in the US...so based on this, do you guys think we can make a good argument? Should we hire a lawyer? I fell like we have good things to work with and there are not really any burdens that would affect my waiver (no criminal records or such) so do you guys think I can make it?

thanks guyss!!
