As I was reading through this thread I was thinking, I don't have a preference for americans, it just worked out this way. But when I saw Doodle's post, I had to admit, that accent does get me! I also like the culture of Morocco. If it weren't so hard to live there, I think I'd import myself that direction.

That's because in Europe and in America, fewer people are getting married as opposed to shacking up, and they are marrying older.

I will let you guys define Americans and what they like since I'm not ethnically American anyway. Like I said, American privilege requires that no one else can possibly do as good a job!

Someone is stereotyping and a little defensive. As an American, I'm very caring...we all are. That's one of our characteristics...so, if you need someone to talk to, I'm always here!

I would say that the defensive one is you. You are actually offended that I don't define myself by some paradigm you have drawn up in your own mind. How saying that I'm not ethnically American is offensive to anyone is beyond me.

Is it an insult to infer that there is American ethnic? If so, why?

If there is no American etnnic, why be offended if I don't consider myself to be a part of somethin that is non-existant?
