You should receive mail soon I think.

USCIS sent my case to NVC on June 6, and I've not been able to get through the phone,

but I received a letter from NVC indicating that our case has been forwarded to China

on June 19. So I guess I don't need to call them at this point.

This is good to know. USCIS status said my case was sent on 6/20 so I thought I would have to wait until after holidays, but now I am going to start calling before:) matter of days now, but can't wait. I can't believe this is happening. SO EXCITED!

Do you get a confirmation from USCIS when they send out the package to NVC? or is that the date of NOA2 pretty much?

Initially, I found out about NOA2 (USCIS approval) by check their web site everyday.

About a week later, I did receive a hard copy from them.

Also, I could never get through the NVC phone line for 2.5 weeks,

but I received a letter from them that our case has been forwarded to the embassy.

And then just few days later, my fiancee received the Packet 3 letter from the embassy.

So it seems the longest wait is with USCIS, and then things start going fast.

Best wishes.

In fact, she received the packet 3 already from the embassy,

so I think you should get packet 3 any day now.

Keep calling. I used my office's phone system, which is VERY convenient due the multiple lines setup and desktop UI, and I just redial one call after another until it gets through. My record so far is 74 re-dials before getting through LOL, good luck.

The best way to reach them by phone is to just keep redialing. If you use skype this can get quite costly so the best solution I have found is on this website:

http://gethuman.com/phone-number/National-Visa-Center/

There is a link that says "call free via web". This is a free service that connects you by phone at no cost.

I just kept redialing and canceling, redialing and canceling about 40 times until I got through.

You can tell when you get through because the voice changes, and after 40 times of the same voice, you will know its different.

After you get on the waiting list, the waiting times depend on how busy they are.

Good luck!

I know it is frustrating. I'm calling internationally- and at 7am Eastern time, right when they opened. It SEEMS like to number is always busy. Just keep redialing over and over instantly on your phone and you will get through. I suggest early or late Eastern Time, as I had to call back about 20 times in a row until my call went through. Be sure to listen to the whole message as his "Thank you for calling NVC... due to the high volume of calls you need to call back" message sounds almost exactly like the "Thank you for calling NVC, please listen to our menu as our options have changed..." message.

Good Luck!
