NVC phone (603-334-0700) is always BUSY???

My I-129F/K-1 case was approved by USCIS on June 2, and was sent to NVC on June 6,

I tried calling NVC several times a day for the past 3 days, and I can't believe it's always busy.

Is this (603-334-0700) the correct number to call?

Does anyone have any tips on when to call them or have another number to call?

With USCIS, at least I was able to call and get through to a person,

but NVC seems more challenging to reach them via phone.

Also, does NVC notify us (via text, email, or hard copy) when they forward our case to local country?

Yes, that's the correct number. There has been some who have posted before of the same challenge in calling NVC, but got through eventually.

NVC will send you a letter containing the case number and that your files are then en route to the consulate where your fiancee will have the interview. It may take 2-5 weeks from receipt of NOA2 though (average 2-3 weeks).

I called for a few days before I got through. Make sure it's at least 10 business days after your NOA2 because you might get through and wait all that time just to be told they don't have your case (happened to me). Calling right when they open is usually the best bet- although I still waited 30+ minutes to talk to someone! I also tried sporadically throughout the day and got through randomly. Its hit or miss. Just keep trying.

They notified me via mail when they forwarded it, but by that time I got it, I already knew it was at the embassy (by typing in my case number they gave me on the CEAC website). So I wouldn't wait around for that. Once you know your case number from NVC, give it a few days and then check the CEAC website https://ceac.state.gov/ceac/ Click "Check my Visa Application" under Immigrant and type in the number. Hope this helps!!

That should be enough time! I think mine took exactly two weeks to get there, including weekend days. I think the earlier you call, the better, but there doesn't seem to be a real rhyme or reason behind when it's busy and when it's not. Good luck, you'll get through eventually! Just have your Receipt number (written on NOA1/NOA2) and the beneficiaries birthday ready for when they finally answer.

Since it's been 17 calendar days and 12 business days since TSC sent the case to NVC

I'm thinking NVC might have or getting close to sending the case to China...I hope.

^{I called this morning at 6:03am CST and the line wasn't open yet. I called again at 6:05, got through, was on hold for 45 minutes and finally spoke to someone who told me that despite the fact that my NOA2 is 6/6/14, they haven't received it yet :/}

Where is my money being spent? On private jets for government services in and out of California, lol! The least they can do is at least give us an option for the automated dialer to call us back when it is our turn. I'm going to talk to my local representative about a couple policies that need to be changed.

USCIS sent my case to NVC on June 6, and I've not been able to get through the phone,

but I received a letter from NVC indicating that our case has been forwarded to China

on June 19. So I guess I don't need to call them at this point.

Do you get a confirmation from USCIS when they send out the package to NVC? or is that the date of NOA2 pretty much?
